Ingredients for Daal Makhani Recipe

  • 160 grm/ 1 cup Urad Dal 
  • 45 grm/ 1/2 cup Rajma
  • 100 grm/ 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 tbsp Garlic paste 
  • 1 tbsp Ginger 
  • 1 1/2  tbsp Kasmiri Red Chilli Powder 
  • 1 1/2 cup Fresh Tomato Puree 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic Chopped 
  • 2 tbsp Butter(Optional)
  • a generous pinch fenugreek leaves dried
  • 175 ML Cream

Preparation of Daal Makhani Recipe

We will take 1 cup black urad dal and soak it for 3 hours, along with 1/2 cup rajma, it will be soak for 3 hours, Now take a pan add Urad dal and Rajma in it and add 4-5 cups of water.

If there is a pressure cooker at home, it can also boil 4-5 whistles to boil.

When the dal boil properly, then separate the black water left over the dal so that the dal do not look black, Now we'll take a separate pan, add 1/2 cup of butter and after it is slightly melted add 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp ginger paste.

Now we will roast the garlic and ginger for 2-3 minutes, Now we will add 1 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder to it, now it will go 1 1/2 cup fresh tomato puree, now we will add some salt.

Onions do not go in this recipe, you can add a little chopped onions to the dal. 

Now cook for 10 minutes, after that we will add the boil dal and mix it with properly, And while cook for 4-5 minutes, we will add salt according to your taste.

Now we will add 2 cups of water and after that cook on slow flame for 20 minutes, With this, to make it spicy, take a separate pan, add 1 tbsp oil to the pan, add 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic make brown on flame And will add it to the dal.

If you want to increase more taste of Dal Makhni recipe then add 2 tbsp and butter from the top, And also add a pinch of dried fenugreek leaves.
