This Sautéed Mushrooms with Herbs brings out the earthy richness of mushrooms with a quick, high-heat sauté that locks in their natural flavors.
A blend of butter and olive oil creates a silky base, while a hint of fresh thyme adds an aromatic lift. The mushrooms turn golden and tender, offering a simple yet satisfying side that pairs beautifully with almost anything. It’s fast, fuss-free, and full of savory goodness.

Ingredients:

8 ounces cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or a pinch of dried thyme)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Warm the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until the butter melts and starts to foam.
Add the sliced mushrooms in a single layer and let them cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until golden on one side.
Stir the mushrooms and continue sautéing for another 3-4 minutes until they’re browned and tender.
Sprinkle in the thyme, along with salt and pepper to taste, and stir for another 30 seconds.
